I have a favourite paint colour. I’ve used it in 4 out of the 5 places Chris and I have lived in the last 10 years. I really, REALLY love this colour. It’s called Grey Mountain and it’s from CIL.
Sometimes it looks grey. Sometimes it looks brown. Every once in a while it looks green.
No matter what it looks awesome. Right now, it’s in our living room and it makes the whole space seem cozy and comfortable.
Almost every other wall in our house is another CIL colour called Pewter Grey.
This is my favourite of all the “greige” colours out there and it also changes depending on the room and time of day, sometimes it even looks purple.
We picked another always changing colour for our master bathroom – CIL Unicorn White.
Now, I have no idea what colour a unicorn is, but this is a grey – but sometimes pink – neutral that plan to use over and over (like in the one room challenge starting this week? No spoilers!).
Our master bedroom is one space that we haven’t really touched since we moved in, other than painting of course. Even though it’s not really decorated, the paint, a bolder choice than the rest of the house, makes it seem like we’ve done more than we have.
The colour is Oval Room Blue from Farrow & Ball.
I truly believe that paint can transform a room and these four colours have made a huge difference in making our house feel like home.
