There has been a lot of progress in the last week on my One Room Challenge office makeover. The biggest changes being that Chris has officially moved his office across the hall and I’ve painted the whole room a beautiful sage green colour.
I am very excited to be working with some great sponsors for this room makeover. The outlets featured in this post were provided to me by Legrand. All opinions are my own.
The colour is a very soothing shade from Benjamin Moore called “Oil Cloth”
With all the furniture moved away from the walls to paint, I also took the time to do a little general housekeeping.
I vacuumed and washed all the baseboards and window sills (it’s crazy how dirty those can get when you’re not paying attention – oops) and I re-caulked all the baseboards that had “settled” in the last five years.
Before moving the furniture back, I also took the time to update all the outlets in the room with new ones from the Radiant collection from Legrand.
When we created our DIY kitchen island, I installed my first ever outlet and discovered the variety of products available from Legrand. I love that their collection of outlets and switches come in multiple colour options, and have a more modern look compared to traditional options.
I liked the idea of something subtle against my new sage walls so I chose to use nickel. This is a really easy update that is definitely something you can do yourself (as long as you follow proper safety precautions). Check out my full installation tutorial here.
Now I’m ready to get started on the first of my refinishing projects – my desk!
