Instead of doing a themed gift guide this year I decided instead to share some things that Chris, mum and I own already or would have on our wish lists. So without further ado, the official House by the Bay gift guide!
1. Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum
Chris did a lot (and I mean A LOT) of research and decided that this was the robot vacuum for us. In fact, this is what we gave each other for Christmas this year. This vacuum maps your space as it cleans so it never misses a spot – Cat fur and dust beware!
2. Copper Barware
I am absolutely in love with these two decanters and matching glasses from Indigo. I want the whole set – Wisdom Decanter, Truth Decanter & Low Ball Glasses
3. Mophie Juice Pack Charging Phone Case
I’m always on the go and I’m terrible for letting my phone die. I love the idea of this charging case, especially when I’m travelling and using my phone more than normal. This is at the top of my wish list this year!
4. Interchangeable Knitting Needles
I bought one of these sets when I first starting knitting and I can’t imagine knitting without it. It’s so easy to switch needle sizes during a project and they never loosen while I’m knitting.
5. Egg Cream Mask
Mum and I have both become obsessed with our Egg Mellow Cream Moisturizer from Too Cool For School – and their hydrating mask is the perfect stocking stuffer for any skin care.
6. Reading Socks
These super cozy socks are another great stocking stuffer – perfect for curling up on the sofa with a good book.
7. Cricut Maker Machine Bundle
This machine came out earlier this year and it makes me want to jump feet first into the world of cutting machines. What I love about the Maker is that it will also cut fabric which makes my head spin with all the quilting possibilities.
8. Hawthorne Dark Mood Yarn Bundle
I buy a lot of the yarn for my knitting projects from Knit Picks and their value packs are amazing. I love how pretty the colours are in this bundle.
9. Kreg Accu-Cut
This circular saw track guide was definitely one of my best purchases of 2017! It makes cutting down plywood super easy – a great alternative to the expensive table saw (especially if you’re low on space).
10. Super High Rise Jeggings
No lie, LIVE in these jeans. I have two pairs and I’ve asked for a third for Christmas.
11. Aeropress
This is Chris’ top pick for a holiday gift this year and (in his opinion) the only way to make coffee. If you have a coffee fan on your list, they’ll love this. No joke.
12. Franklin Barbeque
If you’ve ever been to dinner at our house you know that Chris loves smoking meat. Texas BBQ is his favourite and Aaron Franklin is the king. This books is a must have for any BBQ lover.
Some other great ideas…
- This small bifold leather wallet for the minimalist in your life.
- A set of absolutely amazing bed sheets.
- A beautifully crafted wood watch for (my favourite and Chris’ favourite)
- This super cozy sherpa backed throw blanket.
