I had a lot of fun decorating for the holidays this year in our new open main floor – especially because we just got a new, large dining table!
I’ll share more details on our new table soon (and why we bought one instead of building), but for now let’s just admire this big beauty
I’m so excited that we found a table we all love and that is big enough to fit 8 comfortably (our usual number for holiday dinners). Plus it looks amazing with the chandelier from Kichler that we installed during our main floor renovation!
Our holiday table is pretty simple (I’m not one for fancy place settings) but I did take some time to DIY some cute Scandinavian inspired side plates using some ceramic paint.
And yes, I got a letter board.
I always see people post these cute photos on Instagram with clever sayings on their letter boards. Mostly mine has featured swear words and dirty jokes.
And Christmas movie references to make my husband happy.
Next weekend we’ll be hosting a few of our neighbours for a big holiday dinner. Chris will be smoking a turkey and we’ll have all the fixings – I can’t wait to show off this space all decked out for the holidays.
If you want to see how we make this space hold a dinner for 19 make sure to check out my Instagram stories on the 8th 😉
Thanks for joining me for my holiday home tour! Make sure to check out all the other holiday decor posts that are part of the Deck the Home Blog Hop:
